Last year, the Belgian Science Policy units of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the Flemish and Federal Authorities held the first conference on Open Access in Belgium. Since last winter, new developments in the field of Open Science, particularly pertaining to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), persuaded these entities to renew efforts to inform the Belgian research community.
How has Open Science Policy been unfolding in Belgium? Which Belgian partners have joined the EOSC initiative? What roles have been assigned to Belgian representatives and experts within its governance? This second Belgian Open Science seminar wishes to take up a tradition of informative and interactive commitment towards the Belgian research community.
It is the first Belgian initiative to bring together all Belgian partners in EOSC projects and the Executive Board Working Groups.
The event aims to inform and involve the Belgian research community into the new developments in the field of Open Science, particularly pertaining to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
EOSC-Pillar will be presented by one of its representatives, Inge Van Nieuwerburgh from Ghent University.
